Reviewed by MsEverywhereist from West Virginia on Wednesday, November 6, 2013This jacket is sweet. It's well made, true to size (always wear a small and the small fits), and cool. The hood is big (helmet compatible) but can be made smaller at the front and back so could be worn easily enough without a helmet too. Bonus feature that I didn't realize is it covers your butt too. A lot of ski jackets are only waist long making it easier for snow and cold to touch you. Soft shells are also great for snow sports because they are breathable. Don't be misinformed though- this is a soft shell, not a insulated jacket. You need to combine this coat with layers. A definite recommend.
Reviewed by Pat from Montana on Saturday, October 26, 2013I love this coat it's so comfortable and wind proof. Usually I wear a large but got the D&l because sometimes haglofs runs a little smaller. But in this case the Xl is plenty bit. Kept it because I like to layer and have room to move. It's a beautiful color, the bottom and under arms are a slightly different purple it shows up in the pic. Overall, it's a gorgeous coat at a relly good price!
Reviewed by Part Time Traveler from Florida on Sunday, September 29, 2013I bought this for an Alaskan Cruise - warm, soft, windproof, and shed light rain. The hood is huge and is made for a ski helmet. However, if you use the cinchers, you can adjust it to fit without the helmet (throw a water-proof baseball cap under it for extra face protection). This will be a great Florida winter coat, and it will also be a ski jacket with layers underneath. The inside is sooo soft that you'll want to wear it with only a Tshirt underneath. The Blue with Red Zippers is rich and will look good with anything except earth tones. Watch the sales on this one...you can get it for a decent price...well made, and made to last. Threw it in the washer, and it hung dry beautifully.
Reviewed by Katt from Austin on Thursday, May 2, 2013I wore this jacket and it's companion fleece top today for the first time. My friends loved it, and commented how beautiful it was, I was pleased. It was very cold and windy today, I wanted to try it out...I'll never regret this purchase! Originally, I purchased this for an Alaskan cruise; however, it will get lots more use than I originally anticipated.
Reviewed by Decca from Philadelphia on Monday, March 18, 2013I admired this beautiful jacket in Austria and was very pleased to find it available in the US. I've worn it in the wind and sleet so far and it works well for a lighter soft shell. Sadly, I won't be able to take it to the slopes this year but I look forward to trying it out next winter. My only gripe is fit. I'm not all that tall (5'6"), but I have long arms and muscular shoulders. The medium was too small in the shoulders and the arms were too short for "real" outdoor use. I kept the Large but it is too big in the waist. In particular, the snow skirt is way too big even when I jerry-rig it to make it tighter. I will probably just take it out, but this will make it not as useful for skiing. It's not the jacket's fault that my body doesn't have more average measurements, so overall, I recommend it. The blue/purple with red zipper is bright and feminine without being too purple.
