5.0 out of 5 stars. great for cool, wet weatherVerified Buyer Reviewed by Seattle Mikey from Washington on Thursday, December 31, 2015I have come to really like this jacket for for cool rainy outdoor activity. I do a lot of dog walking on gray, raw, rainy Pacific Northwest winter days and it is excellent for that - bright color for safety, soft for comfort, and very waterproof. Note that this jacket does not have a hood! I am a hat guy who doesn't use hoods much, but others might find the lack of a hood significant. When I first wore it, the zipper was hard to get started, but with a little use it now works fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very light and extremely soft, Great quality and workmanship.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Alaska on Thursday, October 22, 2015Purchased to product as a soft shell for Alaska conditions during activity in winter. The shell performs very well as a top layer with down underneath during extreme cold and is an excellent light jacket for around the town during mild weather. I purchased a one size bigger for room for my heavy down mid layer.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very PleasedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from SE Texas on Saturday, March 7, 2015First off, this purchase was for some winter cycling apparel. My requirements for the outer layer was breathability and wind resistance. I use a lot of under layers so insulation/warmth was not a high priority. I sweat a lot, so breathability was critical. After trying and returning several hardshell products I decided to try a softshell.
I had a good feeling as soon as I pulled this jacket out. Workmanship is some of the best I've seen. No loose threads anywhere, good seams and materials. Very well made.
My challenge has been to find something that fits a little loose (for layers) but not baggy. I am 5'8" - 220 lbs meaning I have something of a spare tire. Finding cycling clothing that isn't cut for a string bean is always a chore. I went with the XL and the torso fit is exactly what I was looking for. Arms are an inch or so too long but no big deal. The fabric has a little stretch to it to add to the comfort.
The features work well for cycling. The pit zips run from the hip bone all the way to the elbow with double zips so ventilation is excellent. There is a drawstring on the neck so you can get that snug. The lower hem has a drawstring also. I got the orange version and this color is VERY visible.
The jacket performs great. Wind blockage and breathability are both top notch. The pit ventilation options allow you to cool down wherever you like and on a bike they work extremely well. As a cyclist, my only gripe is there are no rear pockets, but I knew that going in.
I think my search for an outer layer is over. This jacket is a winner.
