3.0 out of 5 stars. Heavy duty!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sand37 from saltlakecity on Monday, August 31, 2015These were very heavy duty and bulky. Would be good for long hikes, but I wasn't really looking for that- so I sent them back.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great hiking shoeReviewed by Oregon Hiker from Oregon on Friday, December 26, 2014Sole is stiff, but wears in quickly. Quite comfortable from day 1 (3 mile steep hike). Back runs high on the foot - if you have problems with rubbing on your ankle bone, you may want to pass on these, but they work well for me. The shape and lacing is great - you don't get crammed toes walking down steep hills. Waterproofing is fantastic - really put them through the ringer during a bad storm with tons of rain - my feet were completely dry even hiking through a wet, partially flooded valley (trying to jump from dry spot to dry spot). I wear a size 7 and the shoe runs slightly long once the padding wore in. A small heel insert fixed the problem.
