Haglofs Windstopper® Speed Jacket - Soft Shell (For Women)

This jacket is very well made but, when I think soft shell, I think of a midweight fabric with some thickness to it. This is a very, very lightweight softshell... and while it does protect against cold somewhat, it is certainly not a stand alone jacket, nor something that would even be adequate in truly cold weather with a sweater or other layer. This jacket would be great for spring or as a midlayer. (I'm in Chicago mind you). It is very stylish and really well made and I was surprised at how well it *did* function for how absolutely thin the fabric is, but I was looking for more wind protection. I will be keeping it for layering on my bike in the winter and spring wearing. I ordered 2 Haglofs jackets for my husband and they're wonderful. I really like this brand all in all. I ordered a size 40 and usually wear a 6-8 with a 36d chest- the size 40 fits very nicely. Sleeves are nice and long, also helpful on the bike. Just not a winter soft shell.

nice lightweight wind, water resistant jacket. nice color, nice fit. Sometimes you just need a lighter weight coat to protect you from the elements!

Absolutely beautiful. Feminin cut, very flattering. I purchased the blue purple, colour is great for a "winter type" woman. I keeps warm and dry. Good as a mid layer, too.
