“almost perfect, but tight under arms”

“I usually wear a 4 and tried both the 34 and the 36. The 36 had plenty of room for layering a sweater or fleece under it EXCEPT under the arms. I liked almost everything about this jacket, and it would have gotten five stars except for the armpit problem. Tons of pockets, a functional hood, the styling was relatively flattering for this type of jacket, it's lightweight, the color was just what I wanted. Haglofs even puts the flap over the zipper on the left so that a right-handed person can zip and unzip the jacket easily (unlike most American manufacturers, for some reason). I really, really wanted to keep it, BUT it's too tight under the arms. I don't have bulky shoulders or arms, as far as I know. For about five minutes I even thought "well, maybe I'll just keep the pit zips open," because it was comfortable that way. That's not I want to do all winter, though. If you have very tiny shoulders and arms or don't plan to layer anything but a thin base layer under it (or if you want to keep the pits unzipped), maybe this jacket will be perfect for you.”
