I'm 5' tall, so the elastic ankles keep them from being way too long. They fit me well and they're not too heavy and not too light, just the right weight for temps in the 50's or 60's.

Nothing wrong with these 2nds but the title is a little misleading. I thought the sweatpants would be fleece on the outside and inside but they were only fleece on the inside. They were like regular sweatpant material on the outside. I actually wanted this so it worked out for me. I also noticed that I didn't get really hot while wearing them like I do with other sweatpants.

Must not have read the description closely enough and these have elasticized ankles. Not a keeper. Although these were nice and thick and should be a good find for those who don't mind rubber bands around their ankles.

The scrunch elastic at ankles just loose enough to not be tight (even has a little extra room), yet tight enough to not slip down underneath the heel like pants w/o the elastic ankels. So these are excellent for some with shorter legs who have problems with that, but are long enough for a regular legged person.
