5.0 out of 5 stars. So far so goodVerified Buyer Reviewed by Juliann from Ludington MI on Thursday, October 9, 2014I am a woman that wears men's hiking boots because I have wide feet not to mention a bunion on my left foot. I was very glad to find that these were wide enough because sometimes even men's boots end up too narrow for me. I love the ankle support and although I haven't had a chance to take them out for a "serious" hike yet they seem like they will be durable enough for backpacking. I have worn them on the beach and was glad to see that the water beaded right up on the top of the boot but I confess my feet didn't stay dry because the waves got the best of me and water went in over the top of the boot! (the sunset was worth it!) This is my first pair of Hanwag and so far I am impressed.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great, but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by dimako from Upstate, NY on Thursday, July 17, 2014Good quality as you may expect from Hanwag.
Found this pair to be true to its size/length, but in my opinion it has too much volume room in the toe are.
Sole seems to be suited for trails only. I think it will become softer. Because of all of above sent them back. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. one wearing onlyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Billygoat42 from North state California on Friday, April 18, 2014This boot seemed tight when I first put them on, but I wore them all day and into the evening. My day included: driving my truck into town and
back and unloading 10 bales of Alfalfa and dragging them to the hay shed. Then one of the dogs got out, and I spent the next two hours in the hills
and creeks looking for it, this was complicated by a sudden unexpected rain storm. Results: boot was perfect. Feet were warm and dry and did not
ache. I am a Hanwag fan. My favorite pair of boots are the Hanwag Dakota Gore. Which seem perfect in all ways. But my quest for a second back
up pair has failed because I cannot presently find my size in that boot. The Cheyenne Gore, has the same sole pattern and is similar in design, but
does not have all the bells and whistles of the Dakota. But I am truly pleased with the boot. My seventy-two year old feet need special care and Hanwag provides it.
