Although it says here that a UK 8 is like a US 9, I think the size spread is more like 2.5 sizes than 1. The size UK 8 also showed a EU size 42. Another pair of similar boots I have has a UK 6.5, US 9 and EU 40.5.
I ordered an 8, expecting a 9; I'm going to try what I guess will be an EU 40.5, or a UK 6.5. Hope they fit, as I will need boots next season; after 15 years my old ones gave out before snow ended for the season. Will always seek out a non-China maker; hope they fit is all I can say.
