    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I was very disappointed that I could not get this boot on my foot. There was no give in the instep so you could not get your foot in the boot. There needed to be a zipper so you could open the boot up wide enough to slide your foot in.

    These are very attractive and comfortable boots, and fit my muscular calves nicely - but, and this is a big but - the sole in the front and back of both boots detached the second time I wore them. I did wear them in the rain, but that shouldn't have affected the sole if they were well made. The leather stood up just fine.

    I ordered a half size bigger for arch supports, should have been a whole size bigger. Very difficult to break in, blisters on both heels. After wearing twice, the rubber on heel started peeling off. I'm sending them back.

    These are a beautiful rich cognac color that are very well made and are much better quality than I could find in the mall. I'm usually very conservative in just wearing black or brown boots but I'm so glad I chose this color. They run true to size for medium width foot. There is a light padding in the sole, not super cushioned, but enough to be comfortable. They fit over skinny jeans yet can be worn with skirts.
