    I bought this lamp first for a bedroom. When it arrived I was delighted with it's quality--a gracious shade and handsome wooden base. I liked it so much that I have ordered another and am going to use them to frame the couch in the Living Room. These lamps are all they claim to be. The wooden base winds up to the top of the lamp. The shade is in two layers, with gathered pleats on the outside. It is simple to put together and use.
