Hatley Hooded Rain Coat (For Kids)

I bought this rain coat for my daughter because I needed something that was packable for our hiking and camping trips. The material is much more pliable than the average rain coat for kids. There seems to be some confusion on if the jacket is lined or not. The jacket that I received has a thin layer of softer material (coating almost) that makes it comfortable next to the skin but not a true liner for warmth. When I got it the "plastic" smell was strong but after airing it out the scent is gone. We have not officially used this on a rainy day so hopefully is works as well as I think it will.

This is a very cute raincoat. It's amazingly soft to the touch, which makes it easy to move around in without that clumsy, bulky, raincoat feel. My granddaughter just loves the horses on it, and looks forward to rainy days. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that the snaps don't seem very strong, and I'm wondering how they'll hold up.

great little raincoat - cute design

This coat came wrapped in a compostable and biodegradable bag (very smart). My daughter loves this coat. It is cut nicely around the neck and hood area; when buttoned all the way up, it leaves room for the face and doesn't get in the way. It had a strong odor when first opened but that dissipated after one day. The sleeves can be rolled up if necessary.

We are actually on our second raincoat. Mt sister purchased my kids the matching rainboots and raincoats. We lost my sons coat and could not live w/o it. So thankfully the product was a still available. It is a great bonus that it glows in the dark!!

Nice raincoat, but was a little too small for my 3 year old. I bought size 4 hoping these would run bigger as some raincoats do, but they ran a little smaller due to the pleating in the front on the girl's size.

I really like this jacket for my 3.5 year old. It is important to me to have an actual rain jacket for him this summer since we will be hiking at least three times per week. Many stores carry wind shells which just won't do. This jacket is much lighter weight than I thought - which is a plus. It is not a heavy rubber. If I had my preference it would be a solid color, not a pattern - but at least the pattern is pretty cute.

This product has an intense plastic (PVC-duh) smell when removed from the bag. I personally was not comfortable putting my child in something that was clearly off gassing a tremendous amount of chemicals and got rid of the coat. I imagine with washing and time the smell will go away, but it's still PVC- which I should have noticed prior to purchasing.
