Hawksley & Wight Worsted Wool Pants - Flat Front (For Women)

My 28.5" waist & close to 40" hips can make finding the right proportion a problem in pants. I typically wear a 6 or 8 petite in Banana Republic pants but thought I'd try to save some money by trying a different brand--no success. I did size up to an 8 petite in these as suggested by other reviewers. Thought the pants fit comfortably and were well tailored--I prefer unlined garments--they exaggerated my hips in a rather unflattering way. If you find a brand that consistently works for you, just stick with it and shop the sales.

These pants are gorgeous. However, even after taking the advice of the comments and ordering a size larger than I would normally, they are very snug. I ordered the 10P [usually I wear a 8P]; but even being tight, the waist is in the perfect spot and the length is just right. The wool fabric is wonderful, and that along with the full lining keeps me warm and itch-free in a cold office.

I was pleased that these pants fit so well..I was concerned that they would be tight about the waist based on other H&W purchases. I'm 5'4", 117lb with a straight figure so "hourglass" friendly pants and skirts are too tight if fitted at the waist. These fall just a bit below the waist and are not too full through the thighs. While a bit "old style" these pants are classic in design. The petite classification fits my inseam. I bought the worsted wool jacket in black to match and the fabrics line up perfectly in color. Very satisfied.

These pants are good quality, great weight (not too heavy - not too light). They do run a tad small, I am a size 4 and they are fairly snug, I might be able to wear a size 6 in these. Petite length is good, not too short and I am 5'5". I wouldn't be able to wear heels with them, but I wear flats mostly anyway.

Very tight fit, could barely sit - not sized for an average woman; also the lining bunched up atop each thigh which was very odd. Wish it fit!

These trousers are flattering to the figure. They will be very suitable for winter.

I got these pants in a 6P in one color and was thrilled. Great fit, good quality, nice versatile style. I then ordered another 6P in a different color and they fit like a size 4! The sizing is off, so just beware that you may not get what you expect. Too bad, the right sized ones are perfect and I'd love to have one in every color.

It's a good thing I bought a size up as these pants are still snug in the waist, but they drape beautifully and are a very nice shade of navy.

Disappointed had to return these. Quality product that did not fit well. Great for figures with small waists and rounded hips. Felt like sizing ran a bit small.

[...] I purchased two pairs of "wool" pants for wear this fall and winter. The fabric was much flimsier than I had expected and didn't feel like winter-wear.The light colored pair was an unpleasant beige. Even though petite , alteratiosn were needed.The dark pants were ok but though not petite , I had hoped I could use them after alterations but this proved too extensive. I had to return both pairs.
