Initially bought these pants in my normal size but notably too small. Bought next size higher and was a little large in the waist, but used a belt. I bought these for a trip to Italy in the winter, and could not wear them, as they were too light weight, and not warm enough. They are fine for southern california weather, but nothing colder.

These pants were a terrific deal, it's difficult finding quality worsted pants that are true three season...for a reasonable price. These pants have a nice weight, light enough but substantial for all but the coldest or the most humid of Virginia's seasons. There is no lining, the waist is truly natural and doesn't feel too high or too tight in the petite size, tan color that I purchased.

i love wool - for the warmth and for the quality of the fabric. i am glad that i read the reviews and ordered one size up - because these do run small! the inseam length was perfect for my petite height and work well with both flats and small heels. these are very nice pants at a ridiculously wonderful price! i bought two pair for work. they look very tailored and professional.

Ordered these for Christmas trip to Vienna and Prague where I'll need warmer clothes than here in Dixie. I'll wear these everywhere for night's out at restaurants and Christmas concerts and daytime sightseeing.

Nice pants, I had read from other comments to order a size up and I'm glad I did. These appear to be quality fabric and good construction. Excellent value for the price.

I have a pair of wool pants I bought at a thrift store, that I now love for hiking, bicycle-touring, and travel. Wool is wonderful, especially for travel, for its anti-stink properties. I'm looking for backups for when these thrift-store pants wear out. So, I decided to try these pants from Sierra Trading Post. They are very nicely made, quality fabric. I often wear merino wool next to my skin; these are slightly more scratchy but I think bearable. I usually wear size 8P, but -- per STP recommendation -- ordered a 10P for this pant. They fit perfectly. I'm now on here looking at what other colors they have available in my size.

Elegant but casual too

The items from Sierra Trading Post are consistently good quality. So I order a variety of sizes and colors and return the ones I can't use.
