The best thing about this jacket, aside from the price, is that you get good abrasion protection without looking like an astronaut. I am much more likely to wear a jacket that I don't have to fold up and jam in a corner when I get to school.

Looks great and will work well for short summer rides. It could be better if it had the ability to add protective riding gear.

Ordered this Hein Gericke Bomber Jacket in an XL which is my usual size. But the sleeves were long and it was too big on me. I sent it back and ordered a large. So order one size smaller for a correct fit with this Jacket. But this bomber is the bomb. I mean it is well made and looks just great in casual clothes. You can and should wear it as a regular jacket because it is so nice and fashionable. It doesn't come with armour so you are very limited in protection on your motorcyle. I bought a new USAF/USN CWU-45P Flight Jacket for about the price as the Hein Gericke Bomber and it doest even compare to the "Bang for the Buck" or the quality of the Hein Gericke Bomber Jacket.

This is not a jacket that I would feel comfortable flying through the canyons wearing, but for riding around town on a cool afternoon, it serves the purpose. Comes with lots of pockets and cool compartments, but I just wish I could find some armor somewhere to fit this thing.

Very impressed with this jacket. It's stylish, light and stashes easily. The fit is perfect, with ample room around the middle for those not sveldt. Nice touches abound - for example zipper tabs and pulls have the "Hein Gericke" logo; neck closure has a snap-back feature to keep from flapping; the "Hein Gericke" patches on the sleeves are the same color as the jacket so they're not garish. The traditional bomber jacket sleeve pocket and pen stash has been moved to the end of the sleeve (nice change!). The zipper is heavy duty and is backed with a storm flap that even has "Hein Gericke" embroidered on it. At first the breast pockets seemed impossibly high. But they fall in line with the handlebar when in riding position, so they're within easy reach (bright idea!). Armor should be included. Some may find the print on the lining garish - I think it's complimentary and adds a sporty touch.

It says in the description that it does not include armor, so I'm not sure why people are complaining. The jacket is well made, and surprisingly thick and warm. It is not going to offer more protection than good leather, but It's absolutely going to be more protective than a normal jacket. It's thickness and the quality of the material should provide good, but not excellent protection. Ripstop material is good quality and a nice touch. For [$], I'm not sure how you can complain. I like this jacket very much, and with a small investment (i'll use other armor that I already own) it's a street-worthy jacket for riding around town. Without the armor it makes for a great 3 season jacket.

Jacket seems nice enough and light. However it is supposed to be a motorcycle jacket and it does not come with any armor. Jacket looks okay, but I can't use it for its intended purpose until I go out and find armor that will fit. The pockets seem pretty small so that may be a challenge. I was disappointed and would recommend not selling "motorcycle" jackets that don't come with armor.
