Hein Gericke Maxwell Motorcycle Jacket - Sheltex®, Waterproof (For Men)

My first Hein Gerricke purchase was having a full set of leathers custom made for me while visiting Germany. This new jacket is no exception to the quality, craftsmanship and design of a company built on performance. Integrated body armor has an incredible, comfortable feel yet at the same time providing necessary protection for the street rider. When not on the bike, this jacket is a statement in style when worn as a daily garment. Can't find a better value than Sierra Trading. AWesome. You've made somebody's Christmas!

snug fit , but with a light shirt underneath the fit is true...expect this will loosen up with use

As others have mentioned it runs small in size. Usually wearing a small I ordered a medium and it fits great. Well constructed with quality materials. The collar is very short so I will need a good quality neck gaiter for cooler weather.

Overall, verry good quality for the $$$. But the brand new jacket has a minor defect that missing loop at sleeve to secure liner with snap button. I returned to replace and waiting.

DOES fit true to size, for those of us that are used to motorcycle gear that is not supposed to flap about when riding. Armour is thin and flexible, but typical for a street jacket - this is NOT a jacket for track days afterall! Typical high Hein Gericke quality. A great buy!

Nice fit and true to size. I got this jacket for winter use and it should do well. I like the adjustability of the sleeve size as well as the 3/4 length.

Sierra is in the top three of online retailers that I have dealt with, and I shop on line a LOT! And this jacket is an amazing deal. The styling is simple and uncomplicated, and the build quality is high. Great deal for the money, though there are better jackets out there. It will give me exactly what I was looking for - an around town jacket that suits my Ural - along with my half helmet I look like I just rode in from Dresden!

If you want a cheap but functional jacket, this is perfect, especially if you ride a scooter in my opinion. I thought that the zips looked flimsy and a bit hard to engage because they are small. The sleeves at the wrist cannot be adjusted to close tight on top of gloves, yet are too bulky to fit inside the gloves. With the back protector in place the jacket was too small for me, even if I had ordered a size L whereas I normally wear size M (trust the chest size measurement, not the letter.) You must either order 2 sizes up or 1 size up and remove the back protector. I returned mine, so I cannot comment beyond that.

I read all the comments before I ordered my jacket. It is a tight fitting garment as it should be. If you are looking for a loose fitting casual coat, this is not it. It has built in abrasion protection that would be ineffective in a loose fitting garment.
