Helen Kaminski Emilia Hat - Boiled Wool (For Women)

This hat 's crown is unlined and does not hold its shape... lesser quality than most Helen Kaminski styles. The trim is a nice stylish touch.. I'm usually impressed with this brand.... this style is so-so. ?????

I love Helen Kaminski hats, however I find the sizing to be erratic between different styles. This is pretty true to size, but feels a little bit shallow on my head. I'd like to be able to pull it down on my head a bit lower. I will keep it but am a little doubtful of how it may fit after a dry cleaning. I like hats to have a little extra room, though, so this will probably fit most people great.

I thought the hat was really cute, but it just doesn't fit well. It's too big all around. Sadly, I am sending this one back.

This hat will not keep my head warm in our freezing New England weather. Its fabric is far too thin for boiled wool. As I understand the concept of boiled wool fabric, it is boiled to tighten its weave sufficiently to shed water and block wind. The fabric in this hat has a large airy weave; thus, it will neither shed rain or block wind. I love its color, although I am not impressed with its quality. Its stitching and construction is average - nothing special or spectacular. Compared to several other Helen Kaminski hats I've purchased from STP, this particular one is unremarkable at best and clearly lacks the quality I've come to expect from this millinery brand. I wear a Small to Medium and this hat fits quite snug; so, for a one-size-fits-all coupled with another reviewer whose head this fits (she wears size Large), its sizing appears to be inconsistent. My hat arrived crushed with deep creases throughout and looks terrible. Despite this, I'm going to keep it for now and use it while driving in my car. I won't be wearing this outside lest my head/ears freeze (literally), although it may provide some warmth-value while driving about in winter weather without making my head sweat with a thicker/heavier wool hat. If I remain unhappy with it after some wear, I will simply take advantage of the STP 100% guarantee and return it for credit or exchange it for another product.

Hat looks cute. Material a but thin. Expected inside to be lined but it was not. Interior of hat was not held up but flopply. I expect for this price the material would be thicker, be lined and hold its structure. It's a cute hat otherwise. If they did the extra details it would be a top class hat
