I do a lot of canoe camping and have several books on the subject. This is the one I recommend to friends to prepared for canoe camping trips.
This is not a canoe paddling book. The book assumes you already know how to paddle. Get another book or better yet take a class for that.

I canoe, remote tent camp, former backpcker, and so wondered whether this book would add to knowledge base. It has. Am attempting first overnight with children and this is proving very useful for putting trip together. Lots of things I would have thought of, eventually, probably on the river when it was too late. Is shortening the learning curve. Very useful.

This is a very basic, beginner camping book. It has very little info about canoeing.
