Reviewed by LLPreston from Alaska on Monday, May 20, 2013I ordered these instead fo the standard rain bibs thinking they would be great for when I go razor clamming up here in Alaska. The idea of having some stretch to the pants made me think they'd be nicer to have on than the plain PVC coated poly bibs Helly Hansen also sells. The stretch part is great. Haven't taken them out for their trial yet, but I foresee them being much better than the standard fare. One thing I'd advise though is to order bigger. Maybe it's the fact that they stretch but they seem to run a bit smallish. A little tighter in the legs and butt than the same size would normally fit. I'm glad I ordered a size up. They'll be perfect for my needs, and the price for these higher end Helly Hansen rain bibs is about the same as the regular price for the standard grade rainwear. Fit and finish are superb, as you would expect from an expensive boutique brand like this. All seams are extremely well sealed--you can tell that the pedigree of this jacket is extreme wet weather and sailing. The high-tech fabric is a little stiff, which doesn't bother me but may be an issue for some people. It is a light-weight jacket, so for colder weather you'll need to layer if you plan to wear it under those circumstances. Comes in a garment bag that is itself a very nice item.
