    I love these boots. The wedge heel spreads the weight out, so they don't bother the arthritis in my big toe. The crossed straps add a nice bit of interest. Finally, the fact that they aren't made of leather appeals to my vegan sensibilities. They are truly a size too large, at least. I wear a 9 in dress shoe and 9-1/2 sneaker, and I'm wearing size 8 boots with insoles.

    The shoe part of the boot was comfortable and fit well. I have large calves, and couldn't get the zipper within 2" of the top.
