    I did order a 1/2 size larger than normal, at the recommendation of the site. I am glad that I did. I do not need to wear thick socks, just thin trouser socks. If my foot were any thicker, or my calf any bigger, they would not have fit. As it is they are perfect for shopping and being out in the cold for walks. I find the boots to be very warm, and comfortable.

    The reviewer comments were very helpful. The boots were definitely too small, I had to order a size and half larger. I really like the boots but they aren't as warm as I'd like; although they are VERY comfortable to wear. Providing calve dimensions would make a difference in considering a purchase--these fit, but just a bit too snug. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

    I commute everyday by train so these boots really do keep my feet warm while I'm at the station and walking to work. The only downside is they run small so I can only add one pair of light socks. They won't accommodate heavier socks for those days when the temperature dips well below zero into the doubledigits. However, best quality made boot I have ever owned. I will buy this brand again.
