These gloves are great I have always worn Hestra gloves, in my opinion are some of the best if not best winter glove out there. I've worn them all over skiing and in a lot of different conditions, The bitter cold of Jay Peak and Mount Tremblant of the East, The warm sunny days out west in the Canadian Rockies and the all over the place conditions of the Swiss Alps and Italian Dolomites, these gloves cut it super warm, cool looking design, you can easily move around in them and when it gets too warm you can take the liner out or when you are hiking and then when you start skiing again slip the liners back in. Awesome gloves, get them while you can

I've tried dozens of gloves searching for just the right ones. These are it. Not bulky but warm, a professional look - the leather is outrageous, and a fit that allows me to really feel my poles. The liner does not pull out of the glove when you take them off - a major plus. I use them every day and don't have a complaint yet. I'm a kid's ski instructor and am constantly having to pull my gloves off so I appreciate the well designed wrist straps that keep my gloves handy. I have a feeling that in real cold weather I'll have to switch to a heavier glove but that's to be expected. They are a great looking glove - unique but not goddy.

I got the purple and gray set of gloves. They are beautiful and looked even better after I applied a coat of Hestra Original Leather Balm. These come with the hestra "idiot" straps that I love. They are like soft, flexible wristbands that you don't even notice after they are on. The dexterity and grip on these gloves is beyond compare. The wool liner is easily removed and has been warm to my very cold hands down to the mid 20s. Below that I will be looking for thin wool liners to double up with or switch out to mittens. I don't think these would last all day in a sloppy rain/snow mix but they are water proof enough to ski with and wipe out a few times with no issues. The liner is very simple to take out and it goes in easily. The fingers stay put even when you stick your wet hand inside the glove. I found the size 9 gloves to be spot on according the hestra web site's sizing guide. The gloves do have soft material along the thumb side for a nose wipe. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the waterproofing.
