I didn't want to wear my main hiking boots full time & wear them out early. I received the boots & the only "complaint" is that the toe box is fairly narrow. But overall, I am really enjoying these shoes & they support my foot well. The size was true for me. I am typically an 8 & I ordered an 8.

I have to return them and it looks like they don't have a 9-1/2 in stock. Bummer.

Sizing was good, and the orthotics fitted easily. Shoe was nice and wide so no squashing of toes( feet go numb quickly if too tight, circulation issues). I wore the shoes constantly for two days, they felt strange when I put them on as it felt high in the outstep, but didn't last long. They will now be my travelling shoes (always travel in hiking/trail boots, got to be comfortable), not only are they super comfortable but they look good as well, I like the darker mocha colours as they look better with travel pants and jeans.

My Bearded Collie and I walk at least 5 miles daily. These are not showing early signs of wear and are sized to fit over heavy wool socks.

The right shoe was uncomfortable because the torsion control bar (I assume this is what I was feeling) was right under an old break in my right foot. I would have reordered the next half size up but I was afraid I would have the same problem with the right shoe. So this is my individual problem and would not affect someone else. Just order a half size up. -
