3.0 out of 5 stars. Backyard workboots onlyReviewed by Doctorscotchie from Connecticut on Wednesday, July 8, 2015I got these on a pretty ridiculous sale price under forty bucks so I shouldn't complain, but I have to. The are not really hiking boots. They are pretty flimsy construction and the upper is so big you need balloon feet to fill them out. They look pretty weird on a normal size foot. I have to pull the laces all the way tight to get a snug fit. I would be worried if I were on a real trail with any kind of uneven surface as I'm sure my foot would slide around in the boot. The upper is just that soft. Since I was only planning to wear these mowing the lawn and getting into some yard work I shouldn't complain. They do appear to be water proof. But if you're looking for a bargain hiker, do yourself a favor and spend at least another twenty bucks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. great bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from california on Monday, July 6, 2015I bought these for my boyfriend who is very hard to find comfortable shoes for but these were perfect. They dont hurt his wide feet at all and they seem well made. Very happy with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Wider than usualVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Montana on Monday, May 25, 2015I bought these for my husband who has a terrible time finding shoes and boots that fit his wide feet. Surprisingly, these were too wide! He's trying to decide whether to buy a size down, or just go for the mediums. Other than that, he is really pleased with the style and quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Very wideVerified Buyer Reviewed by Wannabe Ski Bum from Utah on Thursday, May 7, 2015These are nice quality, but the regular width seems to be very wide. I wondered if I had accidentally ordered the wide option, but sure enough, they are regular width. The hubby decided to keep them, he just pulls the laces tight. He said they are okay for work outside, but he wouldn't want to hike in them.

4.0 out of 5 stars. NiceReviewed by Deeds n VA from Richmond, VA on Thursday, March 26, 2015Got these for my boyfriend, his regular size. He's got a fairly wide fit so ordered in wide, with thin socks he says they feel a bit loose but should be fine. He'll likely wear thicker socks when walking/hiking. These feel lightweight to me, which will be great. Nice look, good neutral color in the brown. Great price on STP. The soles do squeak on the kitchen floor, but I don't think we'll be hiking there....
