Verified Buyer Reviewed by Alicia from Florida on Monday, June 23, 2014The shoe is made well. The sole is NOT non-marking. I had to send these back as they would not work for wearing on the boat.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Walker Woman from NE Washington on Wednesday, April 23, 2014This is the fourth pair of sandals I have ordered for my partner. Finally a winner! He says they are light weight and the foot bed is comfortable. He lives in his sandals except for work, when he wears steel toed boots. The reason the other three pair did not work is because of neoprene sections that restrict the area where your foot enters the sandal. For people with a higher volume foot, this makes it impossible to put on, even though it might fit if you could ever get it on. This pair if Hi-Tec sandals is very adjustable with three Velcro straps. The sizing is correct to what we are used to getting for a size 11.
Reviewed by Suzyq from Tennessee on Tuesday, March 4, 2014I bought 9 and 10 because I didn't know which size would fit my son. They were bulky and stiff and the strap across the toe was way too big. Sent both back. We bought Hi-Tec hiking boots recently and my son loved them with no trouble breaking in,
Reviewed by Old Hiker from Portland, OR on Thursday, January 9, 2014Good cushion and fit. I'm a 12-12.5 and the size 12 works. The medium width is right on target. I plan on wearing these indoors, patio, and limited outdoor.
Reviewed by b from Plymouth on Tuesday, September 24, 2013These are substantial, comfortable sandals. The only issue is the little D-ring for the top strap has twisted. It remains comfortable but looks strange.

“I have a set of inserts that I must wear. They elevate the foot a little. Biggest question, I wear a 11.50 shoe that these inserts fit. It reads, 1/2 sizes, order down. Will I still be able to fit my inserts in an 11? Is there xtra room because they are an open toe?”
You should have enough room since the straps are adjustable.
I, too, wear insoles, orthotics actually. I have found that I cannot wear them with any footwear that is not enclosed, i.e. boots or shoes only. I need to go up one full size when I use them to accommodate the extra space they take up. Additionally, I've found that the inserts will slide around a lot when not "enclosed" and the ones I have are not designed to be exposed. They will wear much faster than if they're protected inside footwear. If you do try them I'd actually chose a size 12 to accommodate the additional volume your inserts will require. Good Luch
