I got this for a spare outdoor chore jacket. I am 5'5", 140lbsand 36D, this size medium fits comfortably and has room enough to move my arms freely. Reviewed by Northern Outdoor Teacher and Recreationalist from Minnesota on Sunday, February 2, 2014Great buy for the price. Style is OK.
It has been a cold winter. Lots of minus zero daytime temps. Perfect for testing out winter gear. I originally bought this as a layer for under a Northface jacket that was not as warm as I had hoped. I like to snowshoe, casual cross country ski, teach winter classes outside to youth and recess duty (any teachers out there know how cold recess can be if you have to stand around). The jacket has kept me warm as a liner and I was surprised of its warmth as a stand alone jacket (for walks).

Sale price was definatly a deal.
Reviewed by Demi from Minnesota on Friday, January 10, 2014This is a great down jacket for the price. I use it around town and in the back-country. This jacket gets very compact which is nice when I need to stuff it into a backpack and retains most of its loft. I first used this jacket for a canoe trip in the BWCA in late October and kpet me nice and warm in the 30 degree weather. Around town the jacket is great too. I have recently been wearing it the MN cold snap and have been comfortable with just a t-shirt and this jacket in subzero temps (0 to -40). With an added windproof layer it kept me even warmer when it got reaallly cold. The only down side is now that I have had this jacket for 7 months, the down has lost some of its loftiness (especially in the arms). Overall, good choice if you are looking to save some money.
Reviewed by Miki from SLC, UT. on Thursday, January 9, 2014I ordered this as a winter jacket, but the down fill seems really skimpy. It is very lightweight, and not sure it would be warm in the cold winters we are having here in UT. (as well as the snow)...
I would have sent it back, but I was really stupid, and when I opened the box I used a scissor that was sharp...it not only cut the tape, but went through the tape, the top paper, the plastic bag and then the top layer of the jacket. I kind of wish STP had put more bulk between the top of the garment and the tape. But in all honesty, it Was My fault. So, I am keeping the jacket and will fix the slash I put in the jacket.
I got this in a size large, and I wear a Sm. Med. It was the only size left. It was really too large for me
It does not seem like a good winter coat. I think the down fill is skimpy, and not enough to keep one warm when outside. Perhaps if you had on layers it would work. I also ordered another 550 fill which is very warm, and has the typically puffy down.
I could wear this jacket in the spring and fall, but the sizing is not good for me.
I had my daughter try it, (she lives in Beacon NY...upstate NY), and she said it would be fine for her. I will fix the slash, and put an applique over the problem I made, and then send it to her. (she was visiting when I got the jacket). It will not be a total loss. (I did not even call customer service to see if they would accept the jacket back, since it was my fault.)
