Lightweight and good traction left no dought that this was the best option for my trip. 15 miles and no issues during an early may hike with elevation gains of 3500 feet with no problems. It may be designed as a trail runner but I feel it makes for a great light hiking shoe.

Like all waterproof/breathable clothes and shoes, they do tend to hold moisture in more than regular shoes but it's not excessive.

He is outdoors all day walking back and forth in all different turf conditions, sandy, muddy, wet grass etc. He says he loves how lightweight and comfy they are and they are waterproof so they keep his feet from blistering!
