5.0 out of 5 stars. Nothing Scary about the Yeti II Boots!Reviewed by Anonymous from North Carolina on Tuesday, April 1, 2014My son and I were planning a last minute ski trip, and we needed some ski clothing for him rather quickly. In steps Sierra Trading Post!! I was combing the internet trying to find the right waterproof shoe for my son at a descent price. Trying to find a pair his size the first week of March was proving to be a challenge with the winter that our country has had! The lady in customer service (I am sorry that I do not remember her name) was extremely helpful and friendly!! A great shopping experience overall! The boots worked great for my son around the ski lodge. He likes to take lots of snapshots, and he said his feet were warm and dry. I am a repeat customer, and I will certainly shop Sierra Trading Post again!! By the way, my son wears a size 11, and they seemed to fit true to size.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Good potential, but a little disappointingReviewed by viewfromhere from Colorado on Tuesday, March 18, 2014These boots look good out of the box and have some nice features for a snow sport boot. I ended up needing to return mine (no problem with Sierra, thanks). The problem for me was that the boot top breaks in a funny way around the hook closure at the ankle (the one farthest back on the side of the boot), and the outside of the boot digs in to the ankle. I wore the boot in the house only for several hours to see if this would stop, but it became apparent it was going to be a real problem. One other comment is that the boot really should have a ridge in the back for snowshoe straps.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Looks Like Quality @ STP Value PricingReviewed by BMW from Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, March 18, 2014As advertised. Looks classy. Feels solid. I particularly like the 1st class quality of the lacing brackets/loops/hook, although the lace/boot string I feel should be beefier/heavier. Toe box and heel fit seem true to size to me. Every persons foot, arch and preference is different and insulated hiking boots usually always feel stiffer but to me this looks and feels as good or better than anything in a retail store within the $150 price range. I can say Hi-Tec boot sole has a nice softer/giving/cushiony feel as you walk. Great for those of us who may only spent 25% of the time off-trail and 75% on paved bike trails, cement walk ways and shoveling driveway snow areas. Hard core hikers may prefer a much harder outer sole than these boots. It has a solid looking outer waterproof protection area ( Note: I'm talking about the dark brown wraparound area. It's hard to tell if it's synthetic or leather with rubberized coating. Not sure what it is. It looks of waterproofing value but just not sure of what quality it is. ) I can't speak to long-term durability only to reviewing and trying them on for fit and feel in my home living room. The one area that seems an odd to poor fit to me is the upper ankle and top tonged area where it just doesn't seem to fit/close right relative to other boots/shoes I have. Note: I'm 63 and usually have larger more swollen ankles than much younger and far more athlete men. So I'm ordering another size and two other insulated hiking boot styles to try and compare to see which fits and feels best. So while I give these boots a 4 Star....I always give Sierra Trading Post people and retail system 6 Stars!! Their systems flexibility and ease of exchange returns is so wonderful to be able to sit in my home and take my time thinking about the fit of everything I buy I always end up buying 3x more than I need. For example I've already purchased Two pair of dressy comfy low cut walking/lite hiking boots. One pair of more traditional non-insulated hiking boots. And now I'm finalizing purchasing one pair of heavier insulated winter/snow boots like these. Thank You STP for your wonderful Story Policies and call center people!!
