I've tried on and bought many Hickey Freeman suits and jackets. They usually fit me quite well and offer pleasing fabrics; some of my best stuff is Hickey Freeman. This jacket was kind of a mixed bag for me. The killer was the fit. The shoulders were a little less roomy that the fit I'd gotten in most Hickey jackets of the same size, but still made for a very flattering fit. The cut seemed to be different than most Hickey jackets though, inasmuch as they usually accomodate my modest gut handily, but this one didn't. For a flat-stomached guy, it might be just the thing. The fabric was very nice, and leaned towards sheenyness. It seemed like it might be prone to wrinkling, but I think that's common with a lot of very fine fabrics. The buttons did bug me though: they didn't seem to match the quality of the jacket, and the use of 3 rather than 4 buttons on the sleeve just seemed odd. In the end, if it had fit more like the rest of my Hickey Freeman jackets, I'd have kept it. I sent it back, which is an opportunity to offer my total satisfaction with Sierra's return policy and procedures. Sierra definitely has outstanding values on brand-name stuff I want. But its the fact that I have total confidence in my ability to get satisfaction with my orders that cements my longstanding relationship with Sierra.
