High Gear

I bought the watch for myself. It says, "For men or women." But when it came, it was definitely a woman's watch. Bummer for me, because it is a great watch; awesome for my wife, she loves it. Now, I just wear my Suunto as an everyday watch.

Everything was perfect except the battery was dead and I haven't had time to buy a battery yet.

i like everything about the product.....

Cool sports watch. I have small wrists and need a smaller watch. The Axio mini is great. It looks nice. The color contrasts make it a more stylish watch than the normal black. The gray wrist band is matted and so is the yellow portion. The white portion is shinny. The watch face displays the time and is easily read. It makes a small beep on the hour. I don't mind it. There is probably an option to turn it off. It also display the month and date. I haven't messed around with the altimeter, so I don't know how accurate that is. But even if it's not great, the watch itself is very nice. The only issue I ran into was that the battery was on the verge of dying the week I received the watch. The backlight wasn't working and I thought Sierra sent me a defective product. After I changed the battery (can be easily done at home), it has been running just fine and the backlight is functioning.

I use the watch for work.

The temperature runs hot (obviously, since it is on your arem) - just beware that. And to those who do not understand how the altimeter works, it is based on the barometric pressure - so when that changes, you altitude will change. That is why you cannot calibrate it once, go to a place on one day, come back a couple days later and have the device read the exact same altitude! That is just the nature of the sensor.

I like watches, and have a few Casio women's baro/alti/thermometer watches. But Axio Mini is smaller than Casio, and the colors are very cute!! I am not a hiker and don't use altimeter function so I cannot comment on the accuracy of that function. The weather icon seems accurate, and the barometric pressure readings coincide with my Casio watches. I also like the fact this watch has screw back that can be opened with a coin so that users can change the battery themselves. I liked the the blue one so much, got another one in white/yellow/grey. They are my favorite watches now!

This is a very cool looking watch. The tan accents make it stand out, and the black face is wicked cool. The cool part makes it a little hard to read in low light, luckily the backlight is right on the front and takes care of that problem...only problem is when setting the backlight times out to quickly. That it though, cool watch, with a compass, and a plethora of timers and stop watches. At a good price!
