Reviewed by nordic from michigan on Tuesday, April 23, 2013this is my third high sierra duffel,, of the same size and general description.. the first one the main outside zippers failed,, they just were not heavy enough for the abuse they get in the airports., the second one the zipper pullled out of the material that separates the drop bottom from the top compartment... this latest one looks to be a little more durable ,, but should have had a handle on the end by the wheels to help in dead lifting the bag horizontally into the truck of a car.

Question “is it airtravel size compliant? how heavy?”

Answer It is to large for carry on for most air carriers. You would have to check with what carrier you plan to use for their restrictions since it varies from carrier to carrier. It is too large for USAir since their restriction is 62" and this bag is 70". It weighs 9 lb. 12 oz.
