Great for when your needed gear goes beyond what will fit in an internal frame pack. Allows for attaching bulky, odd shaped gear such a fishing rods and waders.

Large well built and priced backpack as a gift for my brother. He loves it and I have a similar version to it. Great for someone just getting started with backpacking or for someone who needs a pack with lots of room. Be careful not to pack more than you need! Built in rain fly is great for my area where it rains often.

I gave it only 4 stars because the thing is really big and can feel bulky on a smaller person. If you are average sized though it will work great. Considering the price and quality it's a great buy compared to internal framed packs that can cost hundreds of dollars more. I will buy again if I need another.
