I got this pack to carry water for myself and my dog for daily walks in hot weather.

Holds a 20oz water bottle in each side pocket.

Holds 2 Quart bottles (frozen) in main pack. I attach another Quart to the front of the belt to balance the weight in the back.

Small pouch is big enough to hold IP... Read More

The only thing I don't like is that the bottles don't have a pop-top; you have to unscrew the entire top. This is sloppy when hiking. So I like to use my Camelback with this lumbar pack---the perfect solution. The pack carries my rain jacket, first aid stuff, field lens, snacks, and so on, and is quite comfortable. The straps adjust to fit around my waist properly. A great pack for a day hike!

This is the second High Sierra fanny pack that I've owned. The other is 15 years old and still perfectly functional, but I saw that this one was a great deal, so I jumped at the chance. The bag itself is great...comfortable with quality construction. It's great for day hikes, bike rides, and any other light travel.

The only downside in my mind is the water bottles. The product description tells what the bottles are made of, and with a little research, it's easy to find out that these are NOT BPA-free bottles. The bottles don't impress me as being exceptionally sturdy to begin with, but the fact that they are BPA-based plastic means that I won't be using them. Fortunately, I was buying this for the bag and not for the bottles.

Bought this specifically for fly fishing. Haven't used it in the field yet, but very comfortable and roomy. Tons of room to keep leaders, flies, gear and lunch close at hand.

You can pack a lot of stuff in here, which makes the pack itself bulky, but very useful.

    • Answer You can certainly squeeze them in, but a better way is to replace those two with regular 500ml spring water bottles, then fits a few more inside the pack, probably up to 10. But it won't stay well when that heavy. For casual day hikes only.

    • Answer I just posted a review: it CANNOT accommodate anything larger than the two 500ml bottles it comes with. It limits its versatility greatly regarding those side pockets...
