4.0 out of 5 stars. Very versatileVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from new york on Monday, December 15, 2014Well made bag that has many compartments. Can where it various ways. I like to wear it like a sling with the bag across my back for support, along with the waist belt if the bag is loaded, for added support. It would be perfect if it could fit my Ipad, but just a tad short.

4.0 out of 5 stars. GREAT FOR DAY HIKESVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bea from Roxborough, Colorado on Monday, June 27, 2011The only thing I don't like is that the bottles don't have a pop-top; you have to unscrew the entire top. This is sloppy when hiking. So I like to use my Camelback with this lumbar pack---the perfect solution. The pack carries my rain jacket, first aid stuff, field lens, snacks, and so on, and is quite comfortable. The straps adjust to fit around my waist properly. A great pack for a day hike!
- Best Uses: Day Hikes

- Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer
- Pros: Comfortable, Easy access, Good Padding, Good Suspension, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity, Lightweight

4.0 out of 5 stars. quality pack, disappointing bottlesVerified Buyer Reviewed by spoons from madison on Monday, October 25, 2010This is the second High Sierra fanny pack that I've owned. The other is 15 years old and still perfectly functional, but I saw that this one was a great deal, so I jumped at the chance. The bag itself is great...comfortable with quality construction. It's great for day hikes, bike rides, and any other light travel.
The only downside in my mind is the water bottles. The product description tells what the bottles are made of, and with a little research, it's easy to find out that these are NOT BPA-free bottles. The bottles don't impress me as being exceptionally sturdy to begin with, but the fact that they are BPA-based plastic means that I won't be using them. Fortunately, I was buying this for the bag and not for the bottles.- Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads
