High Sierra Wheeled Backpack with Removable Daypack - 26"

I love the idea of the zip off backpack and the material looks tough. I question if it can be used as a carry-on though because it is rather long. I'll find out on my next trip. I have another high sierra bag and they hold up great.

Seems like a good light weight "backpack thru europe" bag, but doesn't hold as much as expected.

I'm traveling the West Coast and this couldn't be a better choice for the varied areas I plan to stay: cabin, spa, hotel, motel.... I'm also relying on different modes of transportation: air, car, train - and this versatile backpack couldn't be a better choice for my week & half.

This looks great, but really has limited capacity for its size. It is very heavy and bulky. Unless you are a BIG person, I think you will have trouble carrying this on your back. The add- on backpack part is quite small as well. I had to send this one back [...]

I used this pack from Midland, TX to Thailand and Cambodia. It was fully packed, but I never worred about seams, or broken zippers, he traveled and help up far better than most other luggage I have used. I will definately buy another.

[...] The handle to the retractable extension to pull it on its wheels was in pieces. Having no time before I was leaving on vacation I super glued it back together and wrapped it in electrical tape. It could have been packed better but the handle is made of brittle plastic and instead of being reccessed it sticks out and takes the "hit" from baggage handlers etc. Am going to have to see if can get a new handle from manufacturer. Other than that am ok with the rest of the product. I like that it can be used so many different ways. My tent fits in perfectly with emough room for some clothes and light sleeping bag. It allows air travel (too big for carry on) rolling through the airport and then use as back pack. Like the day pack feature also. Great idea but that handle sticks out and is too vulnerable to be tossed the way baggage handlers do.

I find that the best use for this item is air travel. However, because you can remove a daypack from it... it is rather versitile.

Bought for a trip to Asia that I have not taken yet so have not put the bag through the paces. I bought it for the detachable backpack so I could leave the bigger bag at the hotel and use the smaller one around town. I also wanted a roll bag for airports but a backpack option for running after cabs or maneuvering down streets. Looks like it will work for all of this - only drawn back is there are no pockets or compartments on the inside of the main suitcase area - I wish there was.
