High Sierra Wheeled Backpack

Loved this bag... for a year or two. It was perfect size for short biz trips (up to 3 nights), and easily fit into overhead bins just as others struggled to squeeze their monster bags too. However, the handle broke on one trip. I tried to fix it, and the fix worked for a day before it completely broke. It still had lots of life left in it, if it was not for the handle.

Taking only this piece for 3 week trip to Europe. Wish the detachable day bag was a shoulder bag instead of backpack.

Good for carry on baggage for longer trip. Provides flexibility in packing and usage as day pack or weekend pack. Like ability to wheel or 'pack', although packing it all is less likely for me at 58 than it would have been a decade or more ago. The size makes you think you might actually be able to do that long trip with the minimal luggage for supreme mobility.

Have been using same type of product for 10 years...very hard to find small rollerbag with detachable back pack but...finally, High Sierra was able to meet our needs. I would have liked to buy two!!

This is a cutie, stylish roller bag, but its volume is so low, it has no practical use. Dimensions are very deceiving, it fits the dimensions of an airport carry-on, but the handle sticks up 2 inches when retracted and is included in the height. This reduces 'use' volume significantly. The daypack is stylish, but all the cords and straps make it a nightmare to transport on a plane-catching on everything including conveyor belts. This is a school field trip or sleepover luggage for your middle-school age kids, not an airport carry-on. I returned it. I would recommend the High Sierra ATGO model, which is truly a carry-on size, large capacity roller and day pack!

This good feature of this wheeled backpack is that you can put your computer in the outer pocket, making it very easy to remove and put back when going through airport security and in other travel contexts. It is a struggle, though, to unzip and zip the main compartment. In addition, the outer pocket tends to drag when carrying something heavy (like a computer) so that the fabric on the bottom rubs the sidewalk and eventually develops holes.

I love this backpack, I bought one two years ago but the zipper broke that attaches the small backpack to the larger one. Sierra was supper and replaced the backpack even after two years of use - I have used this backpack on all my trips it travels well and easily fits in the overhead compartment (if not too stuffed). Once at your destination, simply unzip and use the small pack for day trips!

Lots of use. Walk to work and carry lunch in the removable backpack........just the right size! Can carry 4 days to a week (with careful planning) in the main bag as a carry-on on planes. If the zippers were stronger, this would be a perfect product. As it is, a person has to be VERY CAREFUL or the zippers mis-align.

Fits in the overhead bins of airplanes

Will use as carry-on for very long flights, followed by the kind of trip needing a light back pack.
