Very comfortable summer pants, especially for enduring long periods of sitting.
The 4% spandex in the Navy coloured pants give them enough stretch to be comfortable on long trips.
Bills Khakis Driving Twills were similar, except that the Hiltl are a lighter fabric and don't seem to have the inclination to sag as the day goes on, something I think the Driving Twills tended to do.
I'd say the Hiltl are a bit dressier too.
The finishing is probably better than Bills, but I still prefer the padded waist band, heavier pocket material and deeper pockets on Bills Khakis.
Not that these are at all flimsy or shallow.
The fabric is light but dense, and looks like it will be hard wearing, possibly even more durable than Bill's Chamois Cloth pants, my favourite.
At Sierra's extra reduced prices the Hiltl are a bargain, although one that is somewhat dampened by the international shipping costs these days.
