By Shoe Lover from Asheville, NC on 03/11/2010 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, No Break-in Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this shoe to use as a walking shoe and general purpose shoe. Will be great. Had to return for two sizes larger but the support is great, love the rust color, like the laces and the tongue is attached but not so that it is one piece. Shoe seems to fit the foot - probably wouldn't be good for someone with a wide foot though. Have had Vasque hiking boots for a long while and this will be just as good.

By Fitness Enthusiast from St. Louis Metro Area on 03/09/2010 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable, Great Traction Cons: Heavy, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of trail shoes. I have stupidly used my running shoes for hiking in the past and I knew the time had come to be smarter about this. I like the fit - especially the wide toe bed. I usually wear a 9 1/2 in an athletic shoe and that is what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I've used them twice now and there has been no need for a break-in period. Comfortable right from the start. The traction is excellent and the style is quite nice. The only thing I am unhappy with is the weight of the shoe. I feel they are a bit heavy, but in the scope of all the positives with this shoe, that's minor.
