    I am not a big fan of the low ride waste,but it seems that you can hardly find jeans/shorts that aren't of this ilk these days. They are very comfortable as far as the material and I like the styling.

    These shorts were a great material, a great length, and a great style. However, the waist was very low. The description said just below the waist for the waistband, but it was a good 6" below my waist. I really wanted to keep the shorts but returned them because of this.

    Every other pair of shorts I ordered from STP in size 8 fit perfectly. These were way big. At first I thought maybe I just wasn't used to a low-waisted pant (I'm 58) but when they started falling off my butt I realized it wasn't me. I re-ordered a 6 and they fit great, a bit below my waistline but certainly not extremely so. You boomers, don't be intimidated--ordered down one size & you'll like these. Color is a faded tomato red.

    These shorts do not fit the "fit chart". They are much bigger than the chart would imply. They pouch out at the hips which makes me look like I have huge hips, which I don't. They are just not flattering and way too expensive, even with the Sierra Trading Post discount!
