They can be worn unrolled as ankle pants, or rolled to more of a capri length. The material is also very comfortable and resists wrinkling.

I was worried that it was going to be too heavy, but it's much lighter in weight than it appears to be in the pictures, so it should keep me cool on hot summer days in Italy. The drape is beautiful and the length is perfect (Just below the knee for me at 5'9"). Really flattering for someone who does not love their thighs but has a waist. It looks a lot chunkier in the pictures than it actually is--when you put it on, it looks very sleek. I wish there were more colors in my size---I'd snap them up.
