I was impressed with these gloves out of the box and of course the price was right. The main drawback was the size. These gloves run at least one size smaller than stated. If the maximum size sold in mens is XL then they will not fit a standard XL-sized hand. The large men's size purchased fit a woman's medium-large just right. I think that she will like them.

according to the size chart, i am a size Medium. after reading the reviews, i knew i needed to order the Large. i got the Large and it's still too small; the fingers are too tight and will eventually cause cramping unless i keep my hand out flat. it's a shame, b/c the girth is fine. the gloves are made for stubby-fingered dwarves, basically.for the [$] credit if i return them, i think i'll pass and either cut the fingers off or sell em to my fishing buddy who is smaller than me.

Have not used yet - going to be a Christmas gift. Wish I could order a pair for myself as well.

Loved then for look, warmth, function. However, they simply can't hold up to outdoor recreation. Sorry.

My husband tried these flyfishing in AR. After fumbling around trying to tie knots for lures, he took the gloves off & used his old ones with the fingers cuts off. He said the gloves were warm, but they were so thick & stiff that they kept getting in the way. He may just cut the fingers off them & try using them that way.
