H.S. Trask Gallatin Plain Toe Shoes - Bison Leather (For Men)

Great construction, very comfortable from day 1.

This is my fifth or sixth pair of Trask shoes over the last ten years. I wear them to work everyday and they are comfortable and durable. I have not found another shoe that is as good a value as these are when purchased on Sierra Trading Post. I did notice the last pair I received is now made in China instead of the US. The construction and materials look fine but I will need to put a lot more miles on them before I know if the quality has suffered.

They're shoes. I like them.

I was appalled finding out that these came from China.

I keep a pair of black oxfords that are comfortable for the office. These Trask bison leather shoes are replacing my last pair. I've wanted a pair of these since I saw them on my brother's feet, a few years ago. I like them, but I did have a problem with the first pair that arrived. The removable insoles each had a high spot at the edge of the arch that was uncomfortable. STP sent me another pair to try and they feel much better. I've worn these only around the house so far, for a couple of hours. They feel like they're going to be a great choice for me.

They seem "cheaper" than other HS Trask shoes, perhaps because the quality is inferior. I did not realize they had been made in China, not Brazil.

My seventh pair of Trask shoes, four pair still in use. All previous were exceptional. This pair made overseas and not up to the others in comfort despite being attractive and seemingly well made.

These shoes look good for a very long time. They're almost impossible to scuff. My husband purchases a pair every two years and he's tough on shoes. Great for travel because they are lightweight and can be worn for casual or business.

I bought these for my dad and he has a problem with very hard to fit feet. I have always liked Trask shoes for the quality and fit and these are great in both cases. They fit his wide foot perfectly and look great.
