Hubertus Hunting Coat - Fleece (For Men)

Normally I am a 42R (52euro) suit but I sized down to a 50 jacket and it fits very well. It's really warm and the two vents open up when you overheat. It doesn't wear very well over a short sleeve shirt since the underarm vent zippers put the back of a metal zipper against your tricep which will conduct cold against your skin. It has several elastic draw cords to tighten the jacket at a bunch of adjustment points to help keep the heat in. I like it and I'm really picky about jackets!

Very distinctive looking coat. Got it to wear in intermediate cold weather when my heavy down parka was too warm, but it's almost as warm as the down. Zipper openings in armpits help there though, and it's nowhere near as bulky as down. Fine as a cold weather coat, but if I were going to use it for hunting or other extended time in the woods, I might want a few more pockets.

Not your typical American-style hunting coat, but an excellent German-Austrian rendition of active fieldwear for walk-up hunting or stalking. Quiet, warm, sturdy. Not camo, but a version of feldgrau (literally, "fieldgray": a traditional green-gray German Army colour) that blends into the landscape wonderfully in a wide range of foliage situations. Tailored in Croatia, this is a well-made garment that -- especially at the sale price -- was a true bargain.
