    These are not soft soled shoes, but the heel has a nice "gel" patch for the heel bone. They are good, firm shoes for normal walking and standing. Note: the finish looks a little like suede, but does not stain or scuff easily. The photo on the web looks lighter brown than my shoes actually look.

    I brought these shoes with me to Ireland in the middle of winter and they didn't leak . That said the cushioning was just adequate after a few hours on cobblestones . Over all these shoes are recommendable to people without tender feet.

    i enjoy buying footwear on STP due to their precise online description/product narrative and even best after sales policy. These shoes are one amongst the many i have acquired through STP and am delighted to recommend the variety. A treatment with a relaible 'stainproof' antidote would do the product much good (but it would alter the leather's nap/texture). i wish STP also sold waxes and other shoe care / fabric care products!!

    I'm on my feet all day, so these shoes have already proven comfortable. I was a little surprised that they were "hushpuppie" suede, as I didn't know that suede could be waterproof. As for durability, I'll know in one month.
