Hutchinson Home Mission Cedar Chair

Let me first say that you get what you pay for. I purchased four chairs and two side tables. With some coupons, it all cost me about $130.00. I couldn't even buy the material for that price. Having said that, I would not purchase this product again. Assembly is challenging, at best, due to poor construction and pilot holes that do not line up. In fact, I had to modify all of the chairs by pre-drilling new pilot holes and adding braces to ensure stability. I had my father-in-law (a retired carpenter) attempt assembly and he encountered the same issues. I just received the items but suspect they will only last a season or two in the Florida weather. [...] I just should have remembered... when something seems too good to be true, it usually is just that.

I bought the Mission Cedar tables and the Mission Cedar Chairs. Both products are very light weight - hard to believe it's really cedar (from the weight, it seems like balsa wood!). Various areas of the chairs didn't get painted. The problems we had with the tables (small staples holding the top planks popped off immediately - during assembly) didn't occur with the chairs. Still I plan to reinforce the chairs with additional screws which are absolutely necessary for the tables.
