    It doesn't hold 40lbs. however very compact, I can dispose of 2 rubbermaid bins and put 3 of these in their place. I use it for dry dog food kibble for my 5 lab/collie's.

    Great for anytime that you need to temporarily store anything. I spend three months away from home each year and pack my belongings in these bins, collapse them neatly away in the closet of my small rental home or trunk of my car. If you aren't storing food or grain in them you can remove the inner liner for more space. Zippers have stood up to three years of use.

    I use these on endurance rides to store the horse grain and dog food. They don't fall over and can be crammed almost anywhere in the truck or trailer. Very easy to open and close and when collapsed, store about anywhere.

    I use this product to hold the cat food for my 2 cats. Since I mix 2 types of food, this bin works well because I can store the food mixed instead of in separate bags. The only thing I don't like about the bin is that it was sent to me after someone else had obviously used it - there was food already in it and I had to clean it thoroughly. Other than that, it works quite well.

    This product is a really convienent way to store and/or transport food for you per. However, the quality is suspect. I have found the zippers on the lid to be hard to operate, and I doubt they will hold up to sustained use. Time will tell if I would buy this product again.
