Great jacket, but no liner. Great for layering and fits well over a med-heavy sweater.

I bought this as a potential replacement for an older Ibex Icefall. The Clive is typical Ibex in terms of being a high quality, attractive garment. The Clive is cut shorter and slimmer than the earlier Icefall, but not as slim as other maker's Softshells; I can wear it with a heavy baselayer but no more than that. With the Icefall I could also wear a mid-layer. The fabric is nowhere near as stretchy as the earlier Icefall (or other mfg softshells). The trade off will be, perhaps, that the Clive is more water repellant than the Icefall. The Clive will likely remain stiffer / less stretchy than the Icefall. The pitzips are a bother in that they don't really add much functionality to the jacket (or so I've found to be the case so far) while adding sufficient bulk as to make the arm holes feel too high. With STP sale incentives, the Clive was very reasonably priced. At retail or a slightly discounted price; there are other, better options available.

Bought as a replacement to an Arcteryx soft shell that had a zipper issue. I like the look of this jacket but the collar is uncomfortable and the material is rather stiff. Looks good and is functional.

This is a great jacket, just not exactly the perfect jacket as a gift for my boyfriend. Needed something warmer and heavier that's still casual and comfortable. The lining in the jacket is great (not fleece!) but not heavy enough. The fit was too loose, very boxy and roomy in the chest.

Great jacket. Durable, comfortable, excellent value. The sleeves are extra long but I suspect that is because the jacket is designed for cycling. The zipper is a bit tricky to get started.

I'd been considering this particular soft shell jacket for quite some time and am very happy with my purchase. I have compared it to Ex Officio, Columbia, North Face and others. I like Ibex products for the wool component and since MOST of their products are USA-made. This jacket is not, however.Because of STP's deepest discount on this item, I bought 2 - one in each color, one in medium and 1 in large. The medium is for bike riding, hiking or busy times outdoors when I'm generating body heat. I bought the larger one to accommodate a sweater and / or other layers. I am 5'9"tall, 168 lbs.Ibex clothing is cut for athletic, long - armed folks. I'm 54 and am not quite there anymore. The longer arm length may be an issue for some, but I am overlooking it. The pit zips, two inside and outside pockets really make this a versatile jacket. The wool lined interior is a nice plus.

Living in western WY you always need a jacket for the evenings and mornings, even in August. I bought this jacket for that reason and as a light hiking jacket for the spring/fall. A bit large in the chest, but good for light layers, this jacket fits all the bills I need it for. The wool lining is bit scratchy if you wear short sleeves (should have used alpaca!) You need to wear long sleeves w/ this jacket

This is a stylish, practical jacket for cool weather. I would rate it great except for a stubborn to start zipper and a little to tight in the chest for my above average shoulders.

Warm jacket even in colder conditions. The wool adds surprisingly comfortable insulation even in colder conditions as long as you are active. Seems to breath well enough, especially with large pit zips. Jacket material is somewhat stiff (but appears to be softening with use) and appears very durable. Looks good and offers and alternative to TNF and MtnHdwr softshells seen everywhere. Although I noted fit is true to size, it seems to run slightly larger, which is plus if another layer is needed and is comfortable. The dual zipper sometimes needs a little extra effort to zip up, but the mechanism seems durable - just need to ensure bottom pull is completely set.

This jacket is great for all season bike commuting, lightweight, water resistant, very wind resistant, stays warm if damp, vents out the wazoo, and the wool doesn't stink (even if you do). I've worn this jacket in temps from about 5F to about 55F, though I find it to be a bit too warm on the bike at much more than about 40F, unless it's raining. I ride mostly upright bikes in the city, so if you're riding drop bars lower than the saddle, there might not be enough coverage in the back. I do wish that there were more bright colors and some reflective piping in the jacket, but a cheap safety vest from the hardware store fixes that.
