I like this shirt, even though there are a few nits. First, the good. The material is pretty substantial without being stiff, it has a nice soft (for canvas) feel. The snaps are nice, they are easy to snap, without requiring too much force. This means that you can snap it by just pushing against your chest or even your throat. I'm sure different people have a different tolerance for that sort if thing, but I've never had a snap button shirt where I could do this before. The snaps also do not make any noise when they are not snapped. The stitching and construction are quite good. The sleeves are long enough, even in the size small ( I am able to wear both the small and medium). The performance of the shirt is very good, I don't feel hot wearing it, but it is pretty much wind proof so you retain heat well! Machine wash and dry low heat and I didn't notice any shrinkage.
Now, the bad, and it's not too bad! The left top pocket has a pen section and it's not big enough to fit a lot of pens. More importantly, the shirt feels a bit restrictive when you do things like teach high above your head or other somewhat extreme motions. I feel it get tight across my back. I suppose it should have some kind of pleat to allow for expansion. The canvas itself does not stretch , so that is also a factor. I would say that if you're going to be doing something like chopping wood, this might not be for you. Overall, for casual wear, this doesn't bother me.

Got one each of both colors of this shirt. The material is great; nice, thick canvas that avoids being stiff. As other reviewers have noted, the fit is very constricting; although the medium actually fits me perfectly, one would imagine this type of shirt would be oversized to allow for layering in cold weather... oh well. Keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed.
