Ibex Pingo Capri Pants - Soft Shell (For Women)

These are really nice pants except for the length. I ordered two pairs. I cut one pair off into shorts and used the excess fabric to make the other pair into regular length pants. I can't see what use capris in this fabric would be. But then, I think capris make everyone look short abnd fat. I already had two pairs of pingo shorts, and they are virtually the only shorts I wear for summer hiking in the mountains. Although the fabric is a little scratchy, it wicks sweat like crazy. It is also extremely abrasion and stain resistant and wears like iron. And they just look nice - they fit well and are a flattering cut.

These pants are great! They run large so definately order one size smaller. They are perfect for outdoor climbing. They are truely 4 season pants. They are thick enough to keep you warm but no so much that you'll overheat. The waist has an added feature to prevent them from gaping whilst you climb. They sit on your true waist as opposed to on your hips, while less fashionable it is perfect for climbing and they fit comfortable under a harness! Only complaint is the snap on the waist isn't very strong it easily pops undone. But if you have a harness on it doesn't really matter, if you are bouldering you may need to do something to reinforce it.

Not sure what these pants are meant to be but they looked like weird clamdiggers on me and the crotch is funny. I love Ibex products but these didn't work for me.

This fabric was just too funky to be comfortable to wear. While rugged, it was heavy. The fit was okay, but not great. I returned the item.

Really nice fabric and construction, fits well. The snap did not hold, so I just added a hook and eye and works fine.

These pants are great- durable, comfortable, very well made.

I loved the look and feel of this fabric - it would be perfect for the Pacific Northwest where temperatures are markedly cooler on the forest trails. The workmanship is superb - these pants are beautifully made. Unfortunately the cut wasn't right for me (too short from waist to crotch) and, being tall, the capris were not quite long enough. Regretfully I am returning for a refund.

Cute pants but unfortantly didn't look good on my body. Not for petite framed people but otherwise pants are made of great material and would stand up well.

The fabric and workmanship on these is good quality, as one would expect from Ibex. And the crotch is gusseted, which would be great for climbing...what these are no doubt designed for. But they seem to be cut a tad full across the hips/butt for just casual wear. The fabric bunches up a bit across the front. The legs are pretty wide too. I ordered my usual size (8), but maybe I need a smaller size in these? Will return the size 8, maybe try a 6.

Another high-quality item from Ibex and a bargain here. These capris are perfect for cool temps in an otherwise warm climate (I'm temporarily in SoCal), where it's hard to figure out what to wear. Although capris generally look better on the long legged, these are attractive even on petite gals (and I wear'em with socks, so take that into consideration). I'm surprised by how versatile the length is for hiking and hanging around--your core stays warm but your legs don't roast. You can also roll the legs up to make long shorts. Even in warm temps I think these would be comfortable.
