Ibex Taos Zip Neck Sweater - Merino Wool (For Men)

I am 165 cm tall, so the length of the sweater is perfect. Someone 170 cm or taller may complain that the sweater is too short. Otherwise, this has quality material and construction. Ibex is an incredible brand.

Very nice sweater overall. When the zipper is open, a patch of fabric covers the opening. A style thing I guess. The only thing I would change about it.

This is one of the most beautifully constructed sweaters that I have purchased via STP. I put it on, loved the fit and then checked it out in the mirror. Ibex had placed sweater material in a contrasting color underneath the zipper and it looks totally weird. Why would Ibex do this to such a classy (and not inexpensive) sweater? This small, but annoying detail caused me to return the sweater.

Very nice sweater. Thicker than many merino wool sweaters and that is what I was looking for. As one reviewer stated, there is a thinner layer of material that matches the inner collar materal behind the zipper. This does not allow full ventilation when zipper is down. However, I like it, it looks good and adds a different level of comfort. It is warm, great for layering or nice enough to go out for casual events. On the back upper shoulders there is a contrasting Ibex imblem (male sheep head) tastfully done. I saw this in the Reno store when shopping for Christmas (others), when I got home I remember I forgot to by it. Then I found it on line.

Great about town sweater. Very nice quality and quite stylish compared to Ibex's usual (superb) utility look. The knitting crossing the open neck when unzipped is unique.

I have fallen in love with this new generation of Merino wool shirts and sweaters. They are NOT itchy, regulate temperature well, and wash in cold water! I had another brand sweater (from REI) and one wash and it shrunk dramatically. The Ibex is really nice looking and feels fabulous.

This is a great sweater but there is a hidden swath of cloth not advertised in the picture, bridging the collar when the zipper is unzipped. It is awkward, unnecessary, and i am having it removed by a tailor. Otherwise a great value.

this is a near perfect zip sweater, with one drawback: there is a swath of wool that bridges the opening of the zipper, attempting to give the appearance of a shirt under the sweater. It defeats the purpose of the zipper (to vent), and does not really lay well. The picture is misleading, as it does not show this. I'll have it removed by a tailor. otherwise great!
