Ibex

I had wanted this jacket to wear in cool, rainy conditions, as I walk several miles every day no matter what the weather is. However, I was put off by the static cling in the fabric, the obvious synthetic feel to the outer layer, and the swishy noise the fabric made while I wore the jacket. I really don't want to hear my clothing! As far as the fit goes, the body is comfortable and the sleeves are long enough, but it's too short to be really practical in wet weather. I would have liked it to cover the hip area, like Ibex's Nolita jacket does. Maybe the Cirque jacket is better suited to a cyclist than a walker.

This jacket is great! It is windproof in the front but the merino wool back allows for great breathability. For mild winter cycling (30's and 40's) it is the perfect jacket. W/ a nice wool base layer underneath, it keeps me perfectly warm yet I don't sweat up, which prevents me from getting chilled. I spend many weekend days riding 80-100 miles, and I like spending my rides in the Breakaway. A great performance piece. If I could change one thing about this jacket, I would make it a bit longer in the torso. But Ibex stuff tends to run a little on the short side in the torso for me. (I'm 5'8", average proportions)

This is a great pullover for cold days. Great with just a light baselayer underneath, really keeps the cold out, doesn't smell after activity, fit and look is really nice.

This is a perfect low profile layer piece- or worn alone when it's warmer out. A lot warmer than fleece for its weight. This style runs small- esp in the chest. If you have any chest at all (B or above) I'd size up.

Bought one of each color, sized small. The berry is an inch larger on the hips than the blue, even though both are a size small. Overall, the jacket is really lovely, but if you are uncertain on the size, you may want to size up.

The jacket fits well and there is a nice color selection- I have the purple one. It is great with layers underneath for cool temperatures. I wear the jacket every day. Compared to other soft shells, you can tell the jacket has a wool component against your skin. I would buy this again.

I wear this shirt as a light jacket for casual wear and for hiking/snowshoeing

it's very fitted but looks good. if you like things a bit loose go for the next size up.

My husband has been wearing it daily.

I just about live in polar fleece, but this is a delightful alternative that is dressier than fleece, but can be just as casual. Quite versatile. Very soft and non scratchy wool. Sheds wrinkles easily. Nice for traveling
